ATR Closeup

The autothermal reforming reactor (ATR), last used for reforming methane to make H2 and CO. Starting from the top, we see the gas chromatograph, preheating chamber, quartz reactor in a homemade furnace, Pressure meter and backpressure regulator. Blow the plexiglass table top are the mass flow controllers, programmable temperature controller, and on bottom shelf a positive displacement pump (from a liquid chromatograph) for liquid feeds. All instruments are computer data acquisition and control outside the cell.
